K2Net was designed to permit remote control of an Elecraft K2 across a network, or the Internet. Consequently, it consists of two programs.
K2Server is the component that communicates directly with the K2. It is connected via the serial port and the sound card to the transceiver.
K2Client is the user interface. It connects to the server using TCP/IP.
K2Client is meant to provide a virtual front panel for the K2, and mirrors its operation almost exactly. It is not meant to be a full function computer control and logging program, although a basic logging facility is built in, to provide a way of recording contacts made using it. The buttons and knobs are all functional (except for the AF Gain and RF Gain which are analog controls.)
K2Net supports CW and SSB transmit. CW transmit uses the K2’s CAT CW keying capabilities to send CW by typing text into a window. You can type ahead while the other station is sending, or you can type and the program will send your text a complete word at a time. You can define up to 16 macro buttons containing preset text, commands and values that are completed at runtime (such as call, name and report.)
K2Net also supports the use of a CW receive decoder (CWGet). If used, received and decoded code is displayed in a receive window, and words such as call, name, report and QTH can be selected and copied to log fields in the transmit window where they will be picked up and used in macro texts.
To transmit SSB you need a good microphone plugged into the client PC’s sound card. The SSB control window is shown above. A button below the picture of a microphone functions as a PTT. Alternatively you can have the microphone live during receiving and use the K2’s VOX to control TX/RX. The squelch control helps to save network bandwidth by streaming audio only when you are actually speaking.

Digital system boards are a series of integrated circuits that power up the radio, process and digitize audio and data, and control your radio.

Power Supply Board
The power supply board is the main circuit board in your radio. It supplies most of your radio’s operating voltage. The power supply also charges the regulator and provides for auto-sensing of your connections.

Regulator Board
The regulator board provides for digital and low power amplification and for maintaining a regulated DC power supply. It is the heart of the radio.

Meter Board
The meter board provides power through the regulator board, digitized audio from the ADC, and indicator lights for charging, primary power and battery status. It also includes a rotary switch that brings up menus for display or radio operation.

Volume Amplifier Board
The volume amplifier board is the heart of the radio’s audio section. It processes, and amplifies audio.

Motors and Controls
There are seven control knobs and twelve buttons on the left and right sides of the K2. They are marked with pictures showing the letter of the knob or button name. They control your radio’s RF, VFO, volume, VFO, AGC, and DSP controls. These are the knobs, buttons, and joysticks found on most Elecraft radios. They also control your radio’s keypad.

Voice Control Board
The voice control board controls your radio’s voice (VOX) and the introduction of incoming audio for your receiver. The VOX control operates a mix-and-hold circuit that lets you control audio playback without using the control keypad.

Mixer Board
The mixer board controls the two band mixers for CW and SSB. It also controls the RF squelch and the DSP (Digital Signal Processor).

Tone Display
The tone display controls the display of the radio’s CW and SSB tones. When you are transmitting CW it shows the CW squelch level, while when you are receiving SSB it shows the received level. The display can be toggled to show your signal strength.

PC Interface Board
The PC interface board has two USB ports. One is used for charging, and the other is used for USB connections to your PC.

K2Net Full Crack is, as the name indicates, a software package for the Elecraft K2 transceiver. It is an adaptation of the Elecraft K2 front panel software, K2Client, for use with a home computer’s sound card and serial port. This permits home users to control the Elecraft K2 either by a remote computer on a network, or by a PC with the K2Client software that comes with the K2 transceiver. K2Net also has a built-in GPS tracker and time server. The current version of K2Net permits control of the Elecraft K2 via a TCP/IP connection on the World Wide Web (WWW) using a standard web browser. This remote control of the K2 is through the use of JAR files, which is Java applets. This is done by the K2Server program. K2Client is used to configure, send text to the K2, and interact with the web server. JAR files are simply Java instructions that are interpreted by a Java Virtual Machine (Java VM), which is built into every standard operating system. Originally the Java VM was on the PC, and therefore the name that was commonly used for Java is PC (Platform independent Code). This became PC/Java and was an error. The Java VM is now on the K2. Because of this the name that has become commonly used is K2.
The K2Server is responsible for communicating with the K2, sending and receiving data, and maintaining the database of K2 client communication. K2Server communicates with the K2 via the serial port and sound card. K2Server supports both CW and SSB TX.
The K2Client is a front panel log viewer for the K2 Server. It displays the text messages in the server log file. The K2Client allows a user to type text into the text window, send the text to the server, and the server will respond with a complete answer at a time.
K2Client Command Line Description:
K2Client is a simple GUI application for connecting to the K2 via TCP/IP and controlling it. K2Client can be used to control an Elecraft K2 via a network, or the Internet using a desktop PC or a laptop PC.
K2Client is similar to Elecraft’s front panel software for the K2, except that it uses a desktop PC or laptop instead of the Elecraft K2 as the client device. The K2Client software sends the text entered

When K2Net is started, it checks the port number on the K2’s serial port to make sure it is the correct one. It then installs a driver on the client PC to make it send data to the K2. If the client PC is the same as the K2, it will directly connect to it and transmit using the K2’s CAT CW keying (using your keyboard.) (See the client manual for information on using the K2’s CAT CW keying.)
If the K2 is not connected, then the driver on the client PC transmits to a dummy server. When it receives the dummy command “Command Dummy Connected” it responds with “Command Dummy Connected” to the client. It then connects the two together and transmits a ping packet every second until it receives the correct ping packet.
If the K2 is not connected, then the client is told to connect to the dummy server and it establishes a new TCP connection from itself to the dummy server.
The dummy server then does the same thing as the K2. If the dummy server is a dummy transceiver it will not respond to any commands, and if it is a dummy transceiver with CW receive keying it will just log reception of CW. If it is not a dummy transceiver it will respond to commands, have the K2 display a dialog when connected to tell it to respond to commands, and send back a CW reply to the client.
If the K2 is connected to the dummy server, then it tells the dummy server to connect to the server on the network and then it sends the server the CAT CCAP command. It is possible to add extra commands to the K2 manually before it talks to the server, but these won’t get sent to the server if the CAT CCAP command is made first. If the dummy server is a dummy transceiver and does not respond to CAT CCAP (nor requests any other commands), then nothing will get sent to the server.
