Package Nahravani.zip, (“Nahravani” means “Recording” in czech language) contains two executables “Nahravani.exe” and “Vypnout.exe” (“Vypnout” means “Shutdown”) and source codes.
Nahravani is a simple application designed to be a sound recorder.
Nahravani.exe starts recording from default source (set in Windows) in 44100Hz and 16bit quality immediately when started. Recording is stopped when the program window is closed. Vypnout.exe then simply shutdowns computer. If given “h” parameter, then the computer is hibernated.
To record automatically, use Windows’s jobs. Here just set Nahravani and Vypnout to maintain recording and shutting down at requested day and time. Also in Nahravani’s properties we can set computer to wake up at the requested time.
The important thing is to let the device that generates sound on. It is always better to make a quick test than found recorder hours of silence.

Record volume can be changed on properties window. See “Volume” item. If your PCM device cannot be muted, the volume can be set from 0 to 100 percent, but can not be decreased. Then record can be from full volume to zero.
If your PCM device cannot be muted, you can have output only in PCM format. To do so, click on “Menu” item in the properties and select either, “PCM” or “Analog” audio format.

2. In Visual Studio, click on “Nahravani” project and select “File” -> “Build” -> “Build Solution”.

Important:
It can be tricky to get Nahravani to record when you are not in front of PC, at least that’s what I found out.
First I read that you need to set session time to @spontaneous in Win control panel, but it did not work. On the other hand I found that Nahravani gives a lot of exceptions if not exeected at the proper time.
I therefore chose to do two different things:
a) I added session time automatic to time set in Nahravani properties, so during recording the PC is shut down at requested time anyway.
b) On windows startup I started Nahravani.exe, when it asks user to define session time, it immediatly sets property to @spontaneous.
After that no session time exception was raised by Nahravani. However, I found that the time at which I started Nahravani was recorded by my sytem clock, while I was not in front of PC. This is a serious bug, but it was easily fixed.
I read that one should use Date/Time control panel to set schedule in Windows, but it did not work.
Nahravani installation:
1) unzip Nahravani.zip to your hard disk.
2) run Nahravani.exe
3) In Nahravani’s properties, change Preserve session time. Click OK to apply.
4) If needed, change PC wakeup schedule in Nahravani’s properties. Choose leave selected, suspend or hibernate. Click OK to apply.
5) In Nahravani’s properties set Rec. @ to device time. Click OK to apply.
6) If needed, start session time automatic, by setting in Nahravani’s properties to automatic. Click OK to apply.
7) Wait until Preserve session time is set. It does not imply that PC is shutdown at that time.
8) If needed, change PC’s wakeup time in Nahravani’s properties. Click OK to apply.
9) For Vypnout.exe, uncomment next lines:
